I live in the beautiful countryside of North Devon, not far from Exmoor and the rugged coastline and beaches. I take my inspiration for my work from all around me and my work expresses my love of all things natural. I did a degree in Graphic Design in Bristol and spent many years painting in watercolour and acrylic, but recently have started making collages from newspaper and magazines either by ripping or cutting the paper. For me the process of finding the right pieces of paper to match the colour, texture or pattern I am trying to recreate is extremely satisfying. It combines my love of making pictures from paper with my desire to recycle materials as a way of helping to care for our planet.
All my work is available as: cards with envelopes, A4 prints and A3 prints which can be delivered to your door in postal tubes ready for you to mount and frame as you choose.
I enter ArtTrek each September which is a 2-week Open Studio event for visitors to see local artist's work in North Devon. I run workshops on collage-making for visitors to join in and 'have a go'. This year a group of 4 of us are taking part in ArtTrek, including my own collages and watercolours, acrylic and watercolour paintings by Jon Lincoln Gordon, fused glass by Marian Phillips and willow-weaving and baskets by Anne Beer.
